Welcome to Room 21 2019!
It is such a pleasure to be getting to know your children over the past few days. What a great class we have - full of diversity and positiveness.
The class is settling well and learning the expected routines.
Our learning journey is well underway and see how the children are so excited to learn news things and take on new challenges in their learning.
In Writing, we have just completed our 'What Summer Means' poem and I was delighted with the quality of our poems. If you have a chance, please feel free to pop into Room 21 and look at our published copies hanging up - they are well worth a read.
In Reading, we will be looking at a range of texts and predicting and making connections.
In Maths, we are focusing on Statistics. We have already begun looking into efficient ways to collate data. We will also look at a variety of ways to display data and how to effectively analyse data. This will all be leading up to an individual Statistics Investigation in a few weeks time.
In Physical Education we are focusing on skills in Athletics. We will be learning discus, shotput, high jump and long jump.
In Art, we have been creating some amazing abstract self portraits - again, if you have a free moment, please pop in and have a look - they look awesome!
